Nude Portraits - The Female Form

The female form, with all of nature's remarkable beauty and self expression, has been and still is the subject of great inspiration for the worlds leading artists past and present. It can evoke the most diverse interpretation, from the surreal, the semi-abstract, the impression and all the other genre forms that encompass the art of painting the female nude.

The fascination the human form gives to an artist is difficult to express in words alone. In my case it seems to be an aesthetic value, resulting from a deep understanding even in its most abstract interpretation of the curves, shadows and colours of the ever-changing translucent flesh.
